Fix Overheating Problem on OnePlus Phones: Hardware oriented Smartphone industry packed phones rose to fame, ever since Qualcomm & Mediatek started to sell Smartphone processors to manufacturers. Overheating is an issue that the majority of the low-end, mid-range, and high-end phones suffer from it. Of course, the phone processors may rival the PC mechanism, but they do not have enough space for the cooling system.
In a race to ship a dominant portable device, smartphone manufacturers cannot fit a physical cooling system in the device. Manufacturers such as AMD and Intel highly depending on the stock cooling system, but portable devices aren’t lucky in this case.
OnePlus successfully sold million devices all over the world and millions of consumers lining for the upgrade. How to Fix Heating issues on OnePlus 6T, 7, 7 Pro and 7T
1. Faulty Battery
OnePlus smartphone manufactured reputed Chinese hardware company and the computerized quality test thoroughly check them for faulty parts. One of my Android devices suffering from intensive heating and the temperature was reaching above 60° without connecting to the charger dock.
I replaced the stock battery with an alternative original battery that I purchased from a store. A faulty battery temperature rises significantly higher, even when the device is sitting idle and nothing is running in the background. OnePlus 7th generation phones come with a one-year warranty and claim the warranty immediately.

2. Third-Party Variables
I do not carry USB cable & charging brick along with me during short journeys. Instead, I use my companion rig and it is not recommended whatsoever. Every USB-C or USB-B may seem similar technology, but the functions might differ from one and another.
By using third-party USB cable or charging brick can trigger heating and if you use it continuously, then it will impact charging port. You don’t want to cause chip-level damage and the extensive damage occurs by using it one-time.
OnePlus recommend using OEM certified charging brick and cable. Remember, even one volt & ampere (6.24 x 1018 charge carriers) can cause chip-level damage. The $1 solutions and Amazon basic charging kit don’t count under OEM certified accessories.

3. Multiple Applications Running
The android operating system evolved over the years, and RAM management has improved along the way. In modern times, utility applications prefer to run in the background such as Messenger, Twitter, WhatsApp, UPI Payments, Wire payment applications, Shopping apps, and more.
Google Chrome application runs in the background and it consumes a lot of RAM & resources. Chrome can work up the CPU and it can put a lot of stress on the remaining resources. Combining a few applications running in the background together drastically increases the CPU stress level.
Connecting to the internet triggers synchronization process and it connects to Google mail and Social media apps. Transferring large files over internet to cloud storage builds up a lot of heat inside the phone. OnePlus software developers recommend keeping the sync-on disabled permanently. The official Android developers also recommend keeping Sync-off, when connecting to the internet via Wi-Fi or 4G.
Solution: Close background apps
4. Using While Charging
Be it an Android phone or OnePlus phone, keeping the device busy, while charging does build up heat, and causing malfunction. Overtime usage, while charging a device does impact battery performance and chip-level disaster.
For smoother performance, Android consumers are recommended to turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2G or 4G, and cloud synchronization. PUBG mobile players purchasing the beast 7th generation phones, but playing longer periods on a portable machine doesn’t have a happy ending.
Do not presume that using out of the box charging brick & USB cable does not promote overheating. You have to keep in mind that overheating triggered by using power banks & USB charging as well. Unfortunately, phone consumers cannot install the cooling system on a portable device.
5. Restart Android Phone
A small change can bring a big difference, and I believe in the popular saying. OnePlus consumers do not provide enough sleep time for the powerful machine in the smartphone market. Even though the 7th generation OnePlus device might stand out of the crowd, still it requires an hour of sleep.
The portable machine flows with electricity and it may not require an hour of shut down. However, experts claim that it is a good habit to provide OnePlus 7, 7 Pro and 7T edition a quick restart to free up RAM and other aspects of the phone.
Bottom Line
An overheating phone should never be ignored by consumer and service center because it can lead towards explosion. Even though previous generation of OnePlus reported for an explosion, and the newer devices weren’t yet, I recommend taking enough measures to avoid it.
